Your Mission

The position means that you will be the overall solution architect for an entire technology governance domain. The role is inspired by SAFE solution architect and is internally referred to as domain architect. The relevant technology area manages systems needed for the collection of intelligence information. Several DevOps teams develop and maintain the solutions.

We are looking for someone who can develop overall architecture, technical choices, and guidelines that the teams can adhere to. The domain architect's area of responsibility involves ensuring that there is a long-term strategy for the development of the architecture and the technical prerequisites required for the teams to work as effectively and autonomously as possible. You will collect, generate, and analyze innovative ideas and techniques that can be used by the entire organization. A significant part of the work also involves advocating for common technical solutions.

The position includes ownership of the domain's overall architecture and supporting the teams in architectural matters. An important part of the work will be to participate in improvement and change work where you coordinate several parallel assignments and groups of developers and clients. As a domain architect, you will be part of the domain management and collaborate closely with the domain strategist and delivery manager.

Your main tasks will include:

• Strategic responsibility as a solution architect for the IT architecture within one of several technology areas
• Coordination with other technology areas
• Overall architectural responsibility for products and systems within your product area
• Working together with the domain strategist, delivery manager, and teams.
• Developing guidelines for the technical architecture

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field, such as system development or radio, or equivalent knowledge acquired in working life
• Work experience in system development with architectural responsibility
• Good technical grounding and insight into relevant technical areas
• Experience in leadership as a line manager or technical leadership role
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Experience with antenna and receiver systems in the radio or microwave area
• Experience in long-term technical planning and strategy.
• Experience from working with technical solutions within intelligence services and/or industries with regulatory requirements
• Experience working according to the SAFe framework.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or MS Azure

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class.
